Atheists Say
Christianity; an athiests perspective.
Christianity; The popular belief that a celestial Jewish baby who is also his own father, born from a virgin mother, died for three days so that he could ascend to heaven on a cloud and then make you live forever only if you symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood and telepathically tell him you accept him as your lord & master so he can remove an evil force from your spiritual being that is present in all humanity because an immoral woman made from a man's rib was hoodwinked by a talking reptile possessed by an malicious angel to secretly eat forbidden fruit from a magical tree.
13) made from a man's rib
The curve is DNA.
Everybody teaches that Eve came from Adam's rib. After all it says it right there in the Bible. We should clarify, the English Bible. It's so ingrained some churches even teach women have one less rib!
Genesis 2: 21
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Our ribs are inside us, but why a rib? Because the word that got translated to rib is tsay-law, and its definition includes feminine curve of the body. God did take Adam's curve, and for thousands of years it was assumed it was the rib since it's a curved bone, but modern science has revealed to us the Helix Curve. It's how God made the female version of Adam's heritage.
In the 1860s DNA was discovered, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist prior to us understanding it. Adam's rib is really his Helix Curve. His DNA. We may just have learned of it recently, but there it is way back in Genesis.
The Adam's family.
DNA is a heritage marker that documents the bloodline from Adam to Christ.
Genesis 2: 7
And the Lord God "formed" man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Notice this Adam was formed, and not created. The creation happened on the sixth day. This man is formed because humanity was already created on the sixth day. There isn't a second creation. The purpose of the sixth day was to spread humanity around the world, and the purpose for the eighth day was to establish the heritage that God would come through.
Genesis 2: 8
And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
We are in the garden of Eden, so we know we are talking about Adam and Eve. We have Adam, but there still is no Eve yet. Adam was with God as he made the beasts of the field, or the farm animals. Remember, Adam was after all the animals were made on the fifth day. Those were beasts of the earth, or our wild animal kingdom.
Genesis 2: 20
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Now we're getting to the point where Eve comes into the picture.
Genesis 2: 21
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Genesis 2: 22
And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Now we have Adam and Eve in the garden. Fast forward and they have a family of four: a mom, a dad, and two boys (Cain and Abel).
Genesis 2: 8
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Cain killed Abel and part of his punishment was to be banished from Eden.
Wait, who's this?
When Cain got kicked out for his crime he left Eden and settled in Nod.
Genesis 2: 16
And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
If Adam and Eve were the first people, that would make Cain the "ONLY" son left after killing Abel. But look what Cain found in the land Nod.
Genesis 2: 17
And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
Genesis 2: 18
And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
Genesis 2: 19
And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
Wait, what? How could he marry a wife? Where did she come from, and how many people does it take to make a city? Who are all these people? These people are the evidence of the sixth day, and how all of us are all involved in the same game.
Recounting creation.
Did we miss something? We just read how Cain left the garden. He was an only surviving child to the first people on earth, yet he went to another land where he found a wife and built cities. Let's bring this into a little more focus by going back over the timeline, with each day of the creation equal to 1,000 years.
2 Peter 3: 8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
It could be exactly 1,000 years, which is why it is taught the LORD'S Day is a 1,000 years, and why it is called the Millennium (a 1,000 year period that starts upon Christ's return). However, it also very well could be an expression that separates how those on the other side experience time compared to what we go through. Every day we age, but in a thousand years they won't age a day. They are eternal.
Even if it's both (1,000 years for our counting, or as long as it took) science can contribute truth to this context. The earth clearly is not 6,000 years old. First of all, even if it is exactly 1,000 years for each day we already had 7,000 at the end of the seventh day of rest. Then there's 4,000 more from Adam to Christ, and now it's been 2,000 since. That puts us at 13,000. We are sitting on the edge of the transition to the second rest, which is the LORD'S Day, or Millennium, and that would take us to a perfect 14,000.
A multiple of 7, 14 partakes of its importance and, being double that number, implies a double measure of spiritual perfection.
I would love to see what our science could reconcile if they focused on the creation scriptures as the aftermath of the Katabole. That is when a meteor crashed through and destroyed what we call the dinosaur age, and it was a lot longer that 13,000 years ago. I have seen the footprints in the Rocky Mountains.
In Peter we learn that the earth had a time before, and it was overflowed with water (it got pulled down at the Katabole).
2 Peter 3: 5
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Out of the water was dry land. In the water was because of the shell of water above the firmament.
2 Peter 3: 6
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
That's when the meteor came through and struck the earth.
2 Peter 3: 7
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
The earth as we know it now will be purified by God to be suitable for heaven after the judgment, just as it was here before it "became" void and without form. In Isaiah God tells us he did not make it that way.
Isaiah 45: 18
For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
The word vain is the same word used in Genesis 1.
Genesis 1: 2
And the earth became without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
He did not make it void. The creation scriptures match very nicely as the earth goes through a natural process to let the dust settle, reveal sunlight to the exposed side, cleanse the earth with weather (hot, cold, moisture, air...), and on and on. Imagine the globe as one giant dust cloud from an impact big enough to set the plates in motion. What we call a nuclear winter (complete blockage of the sun). Imagine that event happening here, and then we read through a 6,000 year time for the earth to cleanse itself through a natural cycle.
Genesis 1: 3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
As the dust and debris settle the skies clear up enough to allow the light through. The atmosphere is still a thick mixture of air, water, and debris.
Genesis 1: 4
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Before when the upper waters were above the firmament light refracted and we had day everywhere. Night wasn't a thing before. Now with the earth exposed to space only the side that faces the sun is in the light and the other side is dark. Night and day brought different temperatures. It is a very natural process that was part of His plan.
Genesis 1: 5
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Now we have a means to measure time.
Genesis 1: 6
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Genesis 1: 7
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Genesis 1: 8
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
The firmament is the atmosphere. It's our zone. This is the separation of the waters. So now we have a clearing of the muck and a settling of the waters that used to be above and crashed in.
Genesis 1: 9
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
The wobble of our earth being 15 degrees off true north pulled the waters towards the poles. Extreme exposure with lack of direct sunlight froze the water and allowed the continents to develop.
Genesis 1: 10
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
With the water receding it left moist land exposed to fresh water, oxygen, day, night, and seasons... What should happen?
Genesis 1: 11
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1: 12
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1: 13
And the evening and the morning were the third day.
With another 1,000 years of natures seasonal cycles plant life started to spring up and help clean and contribute to the oxygen and mother nature's cycle.
Genesis 1: 14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Genesis 1: 15
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1: 16
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Over time our murky air and cloudy skies became clear enough to see the stars and moon.
Genesis 1: 17
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Genesis 1: 18
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1: 19
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
The stars and moon were set there when he made them in the beginning, because we are on the same earth. The earth wasn't in space by itself, or without the sun. They were always part of the plan, this is just the first time they became unobstructed visually. The upper waters were illuminated. You can't see through a light bulb.
Genesis 1: 20
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Now that the eco system is stabilizing into a condition that is ready to support life God started by filling the seas and air.
Genesis 1: 21
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1: 22
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Genesis 1: 23
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
This type of life also contributed greatly to the preparation of the earth by cleaning toxins and such. That's why we don't eat scavengers.
Next are all the wild animals.
Genesis 1: 24
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Genesis 1: 25
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
They are the beasts of the earth.
Mankind was first.
Contrary to traditional Bible teaching, all races did NOT come from Adam and Eve.
Genesis 1: 26
And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them" have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
When God says let us make man "in our image", that's plural. Who do you think the "our" is? It's us. When he says let "them" have dominion, who's them? It's us. God was talking to all the souls. We are not made in God's image, that's Jesus. Otherwise we would all look like him. That's why it is written if you have seen the Son you have seen the Father.
John 14: 9
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
John 14: 10
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
And your soul inside you doeth your works. We all do. That's pretty heavy my friend. We are made in our own image and our own likeness (as applied to a male or female body). That's why we all look different, because we were individually created as we basically look in heaven. When we get back there we will look like we always did, only better because these flesh bodies are subject to earthly conditions.
Genesis 1: 27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
That's male and female (because flesh requires reproduction), and they were created each in their own image at the same time.
Genesis 1: 31
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Here's what the church missed, and it makes more sense than any other explanation I've heard.
On the sixth day we have all the races created by God, male and female, spread around the world. On the seventh day God rested. On the 8th day he "formed" Adam. This would be the heritage to Christ, and it explains how Cain found a wife, and cities. Common sense should tell you that two white people are not going to have an Asian baby, or an African baby, or an Indian baby... This is a good spot to let science provide a little support to the scriptures. Heritage is passed through DNA, not some mutation.
The sixth day creation is the only explanation that champions the context of the scriptures, combined with the current knowledge of science, and common sense.
Now we're ready for Adam and Eve.
