September Skies
Final Performance
The view from the President’s observation deck made the General stop in his tracks and stop drying his hair. He dropped the towel around his neck.
The lights from the people who poured into the plains all night turned into streams of people in the daylight. They saw the white lines were almost to them and started to run, but there was nowhere to go.”
The President turned to the General. “Hamon-gog has begun.”
A secret service came in the room. “Another report came in from the field. Good news ma’am, several medical camps have taken in families… They all have Russian Bibles.”
The General watched through binoculars as a few people were blown up from direct hits. Panic exploded into hysteria. People saw the white smoky lines coming for them, prompting some to turn and try to run back up valley, but too many people created a river that couldn’t be stopped.
Each hailstone screamed as the heat left its white smoky trail. Even in the early daylight the skies were illuminated. It was a frenzied sight, as people took hit after hit.
The President pointed across the valley. “Did you know they can see this battle in parts of Russia, China, and even Japan.”

In Tahoe, Seth stared at the sky, holding Megumi as she leaned back against him. He squeezed. “I’m going to hold you until we get into the eternity.”
Megumi turned her head and looked at Seth. “I want to sing.” It was the first thing she had said since Tokyo was hit.
He grabbed her hand and ran toward the dock. “Danny, Andrew! Let’s go men, we have one more song.”
Rick pushed Danny. “Go ahead. I’ll be right behind you.”
Andrew dropped his gear and came running. “Better than standing around.”
Seth started the game on the little monitor. The large screen behind them displayed satellite coverage of Armageddon happening in Israel, and in front of them was a clear view of the battle of Hamon-gog.
Megumi turned to Seth. “I want to sing ‘Monsoon’ by Tokio Hotel.”
The band played their last song. It started to fade at the end. The transition from the end of this flesh age to the next spiritual age started to take place. They were watching the violent battles in distant places, yet they were experiencing the peaceful warm presence of the true Father.
At the end of the song Seth looked up to the sky. “Forgive me Father. I am dirty.”
Suddenly the breeze picked up and Seth felt a sense of warmth come over him. He tried to look at Megumi, but was frozen in a tingly sensation. His flesh started to consume away. He could feel it start to droop. Everything was happening so slow, but so fast. The hair fell off the animals, and the fish jumped out of their skin. His eyes started to consume away in their sockets. Seth’s vision faded, but he couldn’t help notice that none of the trees were burning? Not even the dry grass on the hills? He wanted to tell Megumi one last time that he loved her, but his tongue was already consumed away in his mouth.
