What about Satan?
It's not just about thinking Jesus could have been real and then if he shows up you'll follow suit. I mean would it really be that easy? Sure he is coming back but there is someone else coming for you first. Physical examples of this have happened throughout the past enabling the people of your heritage to face similar challenges, and so examples could be recorded for our edification today. Our heritage is eternal. We will all live together in heaven. We live at different times here as we each pass through a limited lifespan one at a time (with overlapping of the generations). By coming spread over time we can be unconditionally self-accountable yet influenced by loved ones. The soul is eternal. When in heaven it is housed in a spiritual body. Not a floatation device or some transparent thing… but a solid mass that is simply not subject to decay and disease that results from being flesh. We leverage a temporary flesh body because if we came in our spiritual bodies we wouldn't age or die (so to speak). We couldn't even be born because as a living soul in our spiritual body we would all already be adults. I could go on for pages about the importance of family values based on this concept alone. Just think how different it would be if we were here in our spiritual bodies? Our entire pursuit of humanity would be on such a different level because with all of us here at the same time (just as most people recognize we will all be together later in heaven) we would be arguing about "who" God was not "if" God was. The fact is the first is the correct argument to have and the second the result of explaining reality to a lost soul.
Our histories give our generations a personal experience of why we need God. On today's global scale we have demonstrated what happens when everyone makes their own rules while playing on the same field. We have different continents, nations, races and religions and they do not provide a possibility of coexistence for all. In an isolated existence they each work within themselves (albeit some at the expense of its own peoples), but once on a global scale the friction of differences become overwhelming. And here we are. That doesn't imply everyone needs to be the same. That's as bland as the word can define. Variety in race and culture and family are desirable and ever present in the eternity. People of any background can blend together under one umbrella if they could see the big picture. People of every background will be in heaven and that can only happen if they got in credibly. Every group we stereotype will have eternal representation as evidenced that God made each of us in our own image. That should tell you a black person will be black in heaven and an Asian will be Asian… There is not one living soul that has ever been born that was a throw away in God's eyes.
One of the greatest gifts to humanity is culture and we have turned it into a cancerous thing under the guidance of man's perspectives.
Our participation may be short on an individual basis but the collective of our family tree still represents a larger position. We don't need to live and prove it forever, just long enough to let our Father see what He needs to about each of us. Those that are taken before they are born are most likely those that were too good to have to experience this test. They fulfilled the requirement by entering the womb, and they were taken back before being subject to what we have done with the gift of life. Everyone that takes on the flesh returns back to heaven when they die regardless of how long or short, good or bad that they lived. When you die your soul to will return instantly to the place you and your heritage were before you came here, which is with the Father as documented in these two verses from the book of Ecclesiastes:
Ecclesiastes 12: 6
Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
That means when you die.
Ecclesiastes 12: 7
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Once we die we instantly return to God. It doesn't say anything about hanging around in a hole in the ground for some period. It doesn't say you go into limbo, to some distant place, or whatever? It says we die and return. Re-turn. You can't return to someplace you haven't been any more than we can replenish the earth if we haven't been here before. That is was we were instructed to do back in Genesis:
Genesis 1: 28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
We replenish the earth by being born into an innocent state without the full knowledge our soul had prior to entering the womb. It's a "re"plennish because we were in heaven with God before coming here to be born just like He was in heaven before He came here. With the heritages in heaven being spread out over time it lets God evaluate the collective based upon individual positions. Still you can't blame a relative that passed many years ago even though in many cases what they did many years ago probably has current family members in their collective belief. That distant connection serves to let God test how we as individuals would follow a position within heritage. This is a heavy test for those that are several generations deep into some of these modern doctrines that work against what is written. Even though they seem so glorious and righteous on the outside. That's just how it should be because this is the very leverage Satan used when he challenged for the throne. In a nutshell that is what this is all about. Who is going to sit on the throne?
This is a fight from within. The "good and evil" thing wasn't black and white from inception like some Yin Yang fool wants you to believe. Balance is how we maintain dignity and wrestle with maturity in our current condition. It does not condone eternal existence. Evil is a cancerous darkness that spread from within and tried to take over the light. If Satan were obviously evil from the very beginning do you think he would ever get close enough to challenge God for a Holy position? The threat Satan brought is the scariest of all in that the challenge for the throne came from a very trusted and respected soul at the time. Maybe the epidemic of divorce in our culture today is God's way of giving us a little taste of how it feels to be him as we get our hearts broken by those we love. Satan wasn't bad from the start any more than marriages intend to break hearts. He became evil from within his own mind. He leveraged the gifts and position he had to benefit himself at the expense of others. Nonetheless Satan was created by the same Father that created every person that ever lived… and all were created with hope that they would see the eternity. Our Father is not the author of evil and by Him none were created evil. We were given the gift of choice and unfortunately some souls choose to pursue evil. When Satan was created he was given the best of the best. He walked with God and was promoted all the way up to a Cherub (a body guard to the throne). The book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament gives us the documentation to Satan's scenario:
Ezekiel 28: 12
"Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
" 'You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
Tyre means rock. The king with a small k tells us it's a false king and combined with Tyre it is symbolic for the false King or false Rock. Who is our Rock? Christ. What position does Satan seek? Christ's. He more that wanted it, he fully believed it because after all he was created the model of perfection. Imagine today's Hollywood vanity combined with the Pope's religious authority (to those that follow).
Ezekiel 28: 13
You were in Eden,
the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
ruby, topaz and emerald,
chrysolite, onyx and jasper,
sapphire, turquoise and beryl.
Your settings and mountings were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
This is talking about the first earth age because it addresses when Satan was created. All souls were all created in the first earth age. We also know it's the first earth age because at this time Satan was wearing a priests breastplate. That's hidden in the stones that adorned him. Ruby is the tribe of Zebulon. Topaz is the tribe of Issachar. Emerald is the tribe of Reuben. Onyx is the tribe of Asher. Jasper is the tribe of Naphtali. Sapphire is the tribe of Simeon. Beryl is the tribe of Dan. He had risen to a position within the church were he had access to the garden of Eden, which is basically God's garden. Since the geographical location of Eden is the same now as is was during the first earth age and because geographies don't change it should be no big stretch to see why the middle east drama is just as it is today as they fight over what was then.
Ezekiel 28: 14
You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
He was so trustable that he became a guardian to the throne and he walked with God in the most private and Holy of settings. This clearly describes a first earth age condition in that in that God's holy mount and fiery stones are present.
Ezekiel 28: 15
You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
He was perfect when he was created. He was not created evil. It came from within him just as the opposite (love) must emanate from within. It started small but just as the cancer it is with time comes consummation.
Ezekiel 28: 16
Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.
His corruption overtook him and he was more or less fired. But do you think this stopped Satan? Instead he rallied those who followed him and there are stories throughout the Bible that touch on what he did from the overthrow all the way up to the drama in this present day. The next verse fast forwards to the time when Satan is cast here:
Ezekiel 28: 17
Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
When did he throw him to the earth? Not in the garden. Not with Job. Not even when Christ was tempted… In Revelation he is booted to the earth at the 6th seal, 6th trump, and 6th vial. That hasn't happened yet. This homework will show you how close that future is to us today. The price for the path Satan took is revealed in the next verse with the carrying out of God's sentence upon him:
Ezekiel 28: 18
By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.
Revelation also describes how Satan will be consumed just as Ezekiel described. That detail puts the timeline for the 18th verse at the end of the Lord's Day. So the documentation of Satan that Ezekiel gave us covered from the first earth age to the end of the second earth age to the end of the Lord's Day. That's a triple testimony of who this character is.
Ezekiel 28: 19
All the nations who knew you
are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
and will be no more.' "
The third and final earth age where we all reside will be free of the cancer Satan cultivates. His downfall was to covet that which he was charged with protecting. In this case it meant he went from protecting the throne to challenging God for His position so that he could be worshiped. It sounds petty but his efforts yielding the deception of 1/3 of our population as he convinced them that his doctrine was the correct doctrine. This is backed up in Revelation:
Revelation 12: 4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Who's tail pulled 1/3? The dragon is Satan. When we come to earth as a baby the war over our soul doesn't start, it continues. The war between good and evil is not fought in opposing clarity. There isn't an obvious evil team and an obvious good team where everyone is wearing a clearly marked jersey with their name and number on it. We all appear to be on the same team. At least those closest to the heat of the battle are vying to be on the same team (or their perspective of it). At this level we are definitely talking about a threat from someone on the inside. Someone that looks like us. Someone that talks like us. Someone that claims the same heritage. Make no mistake that Satan claims the same pillars. He just made slight adjustments that would lead souls to follow him. Then he pursued it to the point where war would break and 1/3 of the living souls would rise against the very Father that created them. What does that have to do with you? If you are a living soul then it has everything to do with you. Deceived or not at least 1/3 of the stars have their heads on the chopping block and this window of time is how we show him our positions.
What about Satan? (You are here.)
