Learn a parable.
If your time on earth expires prior to His return and you have been saved through salvation... your yoke was truly light and I hope to see you in the Lord's Day… unless we both don't make it that long and then I'll see you on the other side. But the overwhelming odds are that if you were born in 1948 or later then you should be alive when Jesus returns. In the book of Matthew Jesus makes it clear that everything written about the end times will take place during the generation born in the time addressed by the parable of the fig tree:
Matthew 24: 32
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Did He say that it might be good to know? He said to "learn" it! I can't overemphasize the importance of this parable because He hid the answer to the end times here. This is how you separate the end generation from all the generations leading up to it. In particular He is talking about when Israel becomes a nation again. The fig tree is used because to plant a fig you use a shoot not a seed. It isn't a nation that grew up over the generations. It is a nation that was planted back from an existing heritage. It is how the Jewish heritage became a nation again and how this would signify the season of the end, not the day or the date but that we are in the season.
Matthew 24: 33
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
We saw these things and now it is getting time. Even at the doors. How close is that?
Matthew 24: 34
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
There you have it. This parable marks the generation that will see the fulfillment of time as we know it. That includes everything written about our time. That is what makes our generation unique from the previous ones that saw examples of our time (which is why it seems like history tends to repeat itself). There are descriptions of future events like the Lord's Day or the eternity and they will be in full effect just as described but the details of everything pertaining our time in the flesh will have been completed before the fig tree generation passes. In the book of Luke the 21st chapter speaks of the parable of the fig tree as well:
Luke 21: 29
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
Luke 21: 30
When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
Both Matthew and Luke were giving us an account of Jesus teaching this parable. The book of Mark will do the same in the 13th chapter. It must be important if all three made sure to include it in their gospels. The question is did Christ just make it up like a story, I mean did it just come to Him at the time of the teaching? Because that kind of thinking is what enables most people to "interpret" what they want from His teachings instead of researching what He really was teaching. The parable of the fig tree should not have been a new concept to their doctrine. It's a fact they have heard it before. They just couldn't make the connection with what they read and what they saw standing right in front of them. The reason they should have known is that Jesus was quoting a prophesy from Jeremiah chapter 24. Just before he said to learn this parable the subject Jesus was talking about was when the end would be. He then told this parable as a hint to the season of His return. What did Jeremiah prophesy? How do we know it relates to our time?
Jeremiah 24: 1
The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
The parable takes before the temple of the Lord, which is in Jerusalem. This geographical location has been called out several times in this work because it is ground zero on a biblical scale. Why do you think three major religions are squabbling over the territory? That area is where God has his capital to put it in our terms.
The reference to the king of Babylon is a type of the Anti-Christ we will see in the end times. The reason I know is because the king of Babylon in the end times is named in Revelation in both the Hebrew and Greek languages so there would be no mistake:
Revelation 9: 11
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
The Hebrew word Abaddon means a destroying angel. The Greek word Apollyon is defined as a destroyer (i.e. Satan), to destroy fully (reflexively, to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively:--destroy, die, lose, mar, perish. Who is the son of perdition (perish)? Satan. That hasn't happened yet. He is coming and we will be in his captivity. That's is why it is written the things of the past happened as an example for us today. That is why our heritages went through it with Nubuchadnezzer back then. Others too throughout history provided examples of similar scenarios. Paul taught this in his first letter to the Corinthians:
1 Corinthians 10: 11
Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
What they experienced were examples for us to learn from now as much as for them to experience then. We all have similar tests people, it's just the timeline and the toys that are different.
Jeremiah 24: 2
One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
The figs in this parable are the two heritages jockeying for position in Israel. These primary contestants in the parable of the fig tree could be traced all the way back to the garden. Cain and Abel are your hint. Abaddon and Apollyon are your evidence.
The good figs are those from the tribe of Judah that returned in 1948 and established Israel. The are those that worked their way into their families and they are the ones we were warned about via the church of Smyrna and Philadelphia. Over history the good and bad fig have both been present but from the time the tribes went captive until recently the area around Jerusalem had not been under Israel's control. Some of these people over there now are good figs and some are bad figs, very bad:
Jeremiah 24: 3
Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
So what we have here is the temple of God with Abaddon/Apollyon and the good and bad generation of our time. Cain and Abel were from the garden and what was the leaf that was used to cover the private parts? A fig leaf. This is where the parable was initiated and over time the Bible gives plenty of accounts of the battles waged as a result. It is the bad figs that Satan has leveraged over time to ensure the Word got twisted to create division. It is the bad figs that will be the first to jump claiming Christ has come to rapture away all who believe. The generation in the garden started this parable while the generation of our time will end it. All souls will have come through this life and a combination of their natural heart and their heritage and culture will determine the spin of their top.
Jeremiah 24: 4
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Jeremiah 24: 5
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
This represents the time of Satan's "hour of temptation" when the world is captivated by him, which will be a "peaceful and prosperous" global captivity. We are going into captivity and the chains have already been set (and it is written…). The good news for those on the right side is that just as the Father is going to protect the good figs amongst the bad he will also protect those that have been scattered abroad. We have nothing to worry about if we are of the good fig batch. How do you know? Simple. The good figs are those that have the seal of God's truth in their forehead (brain) now and those that wake up when we stand accordingly. By standing I mean giving testimony in a court of law as to our position regarding the person standing in the temple… It was Satan, right? The bad figs tell the world it's God coming to save us. The good figs might follow suit at the beginning but as we testify many of God's children from every single race, nation, and tongue will hear our testimony in their own native dialect "without the use of an interpreter" and that will pull billion's out of their stupor. Is it because we said it? Are we that convincing? No:
Mark 13: 11
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
That's how it is able to go out in every tongue. It is the Holy Spirit speaking through you. This is the very tongue that was spoken on Pentecost day as recorded in the book of Acts:
Acts 2: 6
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
That means they heard the words in their own language versus through an interpreter and they were confounded because nobody can simultaneously speak more than one language.
Acts 2: 7
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Just so you know there is no trickery here, the people doing the speaking were all from Galilee so they would not be experts in or representatives from the different languages spoken.
Acts 2: 8
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
How can we all hear our own language?
Acts 2: 9
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Acts 2: 10
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Acts 2: 11
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
That's a lot of unique dialects and they were all spoken at the same time. How different is that from the tongues today's churches claim where one person stands up and blurts something to the congregation… then waits for someone else from the congregation to stand up and give an interpretation for all? Even the one that said it doesn't know what they said? Can you believe this is doctrine is churches?
They spoke the wonderful works of God and that is a wonderful example to you of how at the end times when we are delivered up it will be God that takes control and speaks to the world according to their condition. That is why we don't have to premeditate what we will say. We don't need a lawyer. We have the Advocate.
Can you see how the plan of today was written way back then? How the plan of salvation includes all the people of time acting in their predictable manner as we march to the beat of a drum God orchestrates? The parable of the fig tree tells a story but it ties together numerous examples that have been sprinkled throughout the Word for your edification.
Jeremiah 24: 6
For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
With both figs in place the events of the seven seals and seven trumpets in Revelation can take place. During this particular generation everything will happen. It didn't say they might come and go a few times, it will only happen once so you can't say they might lose and then regain their land later? You can't say they are still negotiating who gets what pieces and where to draw lines. That is fantasy. What we saw happen in 1948 is the mark of the final generation. Now we are playing it out with biblical accuracy.
Jeremiah 24: 7
And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
During this generation the events that bring the facts of the Word to a global level will result in a tremendous number of people discovering their heritage and coming out of confusion. It didn't say they would turn to God, it said they would return to God. Again, this traces directly to the reason we are not judges. God has players spread across the board in men, women, and children, and they get will get called to action to represent their heritages without exception. Everyone that is chasing a belief now is in pursuit of their heart combined with their scenario. Many of them are in the stupor (strong delusion) sent by God to ensure they would be in their positions when the time comes. The trials will reach some that become tremendous warriors for our cause and yet if you met them today you would blot their name. It's not soup yet people. The veggies are a little hard in the middle and the spices haven't permeated the volume. We're just sitting in the pot for now. When you see Satan's crew appear then they will bring us to a five month boil. Now is neither time nor is it ever ours to flip through the book of life. Let's wait and see who "returns" and then we can celebrate a "reunion" (not a union).
Jeremiah 24: 8
Because God warned over and over and wasn't heeded the bad figs are going to get exactly what they deserve. When Satan's has his time here to tempt them he will surely have them all subject to his rule. Even those spread out will also be subject to this king that has imposed power.
But at the same time He is protecting His team the others are going to get exactly what they deserve. Satan's time here to tempt them will have them all subject to his rule.
Jeremiah 24: 9
And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
Then just like historically we saw the house of Judah taken in to captivity under Nebuchadnezzar we are about to see the world systematically pulled into captivity under Satan. There will be no sanctuary cities to hide in because the world will operate under the government he enforces. Because he comes in peacefully and prosperously he will have no problem drawing the world with him. This is the hour of temptation a person with the truth is able to escape.
It is through the doctrine that we can tell the difference between the good and the bad figs. There is a difference. They were both set on Mount Zion to lay claim to the Father. The good figs knew the Father and the bad figs served "their" father. Christ taught that understanding this was imperative to recognizing what was happening at the end. You can check other parables like the parable of the tares in Matthew 13 where Christ taught how these bad figs got here. They were talking about this parable because they wanted to know about the timing of His return. We picked up this parable in Luke 21. It was verse 29:
Luke 21: 29
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
The parable of the fig tree…
Luke 21: 30
When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
Sets the season…
Luke 21: 31
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
For the return of Christ.
We were then promised that when we see that prophesy come to pass we that the kingdom of God would be ushered into place within the lifetime of those in that generation:
Luke 21: 32
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
This is a direct promise from Christ. The generation will not completely pass until everything that is written is fulfilled. By the simple deduction that it is during the generation of the fig tree that Jesus returns (and He has to return for everything written to be fulfilled) it would mean during the lifetime of those alive now. He is coming while you are here and will be critiquing that which all of humanity professes. It would be wise to know the manner in which He is coming because that alone will show you the fake. Here's Satan's arrival and penetration:
Daniel 8: 24
And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Destroy wonderfully? Prosper? Destroy the holy? We're talking about the miracles and a captivating presentation that convinces even those in the churches. Satan comes in peacefully and prosperously which is why I put it in quotes earlier. Now contrast that to Christ's arrival and aggravation… I assure you Christ's return is not in peace. It will lead to peace but it sure doesn't start that way:
Revelation 11: 1
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
This is a correcting rod. He is angry and starts his correction in the church. Remember when Christ addressed their issues back in Chapter 2 and 3? Do you have any questions about what He will be upset about? I mean 5 of 7 churches are nursing Satan's doctrine because the very reasons Revelations tells us made them vulnerable. Two of seven had their figs all lined up and knew exactly what was going on. Does your church know? How about you?
