Two Witnesses
Pastor Flynn in The Zone
Seth played with Aizu in the back yard. He heard Megumi calling, and paused for an instant. Aizu lunged, and knocked him down on the grass.
Megumi leaned to the office window. “Pastor Flynn is on The Molony Zone again.”
Seth rolled over, and wrestled with Aizu. “What? That was fast.”
“Hurry!” She motioned for him to come in. “He’s the first guest after the commercials.”
Seth rushed back inside. He stopped by the kitchen to wash his hands. “Maybe it’s these two. I always thought Pastor Flynn or his son would have something to do with this.”
Megumi opened a bottle of wine. “Two what?”
“The Two Witnesses.”
Megumi laughed. “You think Molony and Pastor Flynn are the Two Witnesses?”
Seth’s smile spread from ear to ear while he dried his hands. “It’s possible. Pastor Flynn teaches the same thing Elijah stressed, which there is more than one entity claiming to be our Father, but his audience is a religious one. That’s a very narrow market, and the truth has to be seen by everyone, but he could be the one setting the record straight.”
Megumi handed him a glass of wine. “And why Molony?”
Seth took a sip and looked out the window. “I don’t know, maybe to reach the secular market?” He turned to Megumi. “Molony’s audience is much more likely to spread like wildfire. Maybe he helps bring the truth out of the religious closet into public awareness?”
Megumi added hot water to her tea. “Yeah, but one of the Two Witnesses?”
“Think about it.” Seth took a sip of wine. “He’s the leader in hard news reporting, and he wrote several books about our culture, and about personal responsibility. People know his heart, they trust him, and when they see him adjust in prime time they’ll know what’s real.”
“Adjust?”
“If they are the Two Witnesses, and I do mean ‘if’, Molony will have to confront some of the traps in his own denomination. I’ve watched him long enough to know he at least thinks for himself. He can do it, and if God called him to this post he will do it.”
Megumi looked into the living room. “Hey, it’s starting.”
Seth followed her to the couch. “When God first approached Moses, Moses didn’t want anything to do with it. He felt he was just a regular guy and his brother would be a better choice. God’s crafty I tell you.”

Molony slid his notes aside, looking to Pastor Flynn sitting across the table. “Pastor. Thank you for coming back on such short notice. We wanted to make this happen while the iron is hot.”
Pastor Flynn nodded. “Thank you. I don’t come to New York often, so we’re making the most of it.”
“It’s amazing to think our special drew a seventy percent market share, and more than fifty million people downloaded the audio from our website. I believe we can attribute such response to the genuine concern people have around the world.” Molony turned to the camera. “Our team is dedicated to make sure people have plenty of information early on, so they can decide before it’s too late… We believe our audience can make up their own minds.”
Pastor Flynn grinned. “I agree it’s important for them to draw their own conclusions regarding these things. This is the season, so if you’re giving them good information, it’s a tremendous help. You know, most of my students become so after evaluating the information they previously had learned.”
Molony reached to the side, and tapped on his notes. “Your ‘no rapture’ last night was a good catch. My people looked into the scriptures you mentioned, and everything checked out as you said. I know there are people in our audience who disagree, but I’m confident with a little homework they will see how we drew our conclusions. In fact we lay it all out in a chart for our premium members on our website.”
“That’s a great start.”
“We all have similar paths, so people shouldn’t be disheartened by a few subtle differences along the way.” Molony pointed his finger to the camera. “I personally want to encourage our audience to listen, compare, and see how they fit in, because we all fit in.”
Pastor Flynn folded his hands on the desk. “Nicely put.”
Molony cleared his throat. “I’d like to start with a comment you made last night regarding six six six. You mentioned something about seals and vials. What are these?”
“I said seals, trumps, and vials.” Pastor Flynn held up a finger with each description. “A seal is the knowledge of what is going to happen. A trumpet is the call to action, and a vial is what is poured out. The problem is with seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven vials you have twenty one items and a lot of symbolism, so even teachers get confused.”
“Sure. The sixth seal teaches Satan will be cast from heaven. The sixth trump is the action Michael takes to boot him out. The sixth vial is when we are delivered up to testify against him. That’s the six, six, six.”
Molony leaned forward squinting. “Who testifies?”
Pastor Flynn held his palms up and shrugged his shoulders. “At first it might be non-believers and hardcore zealots of other religions, or even confessions from his followers as a rapture qualifier, but in time it will come down to the election because they know who Satan is and refuse to follow him.”
Molony leaned back and threw his arms in the air. “There are over six billion people on the planet pastor, do you have any idea how long that would take?”
“Don’t forget that there are two beasts in Revelation.” Flynn tapped the table once with his index finger. “The first beast is a one-world system, so it could leverage local courthouses. All the protocol is in place, we even swear in on the Bible in court today. The big fish that testify will probably be delivered up in Jerusalem. We’ll see.”
Molony relaxed and tilted his head a bit. “The big fish are?”
“The ones that know the truth. They testify against the antichrist, whereas everyone else will be getting in line to serve him.”
“So the system is the first beast, what about the second beast?”
Pastor Flynn tapped the table once with two fingers. “The second beast is a religious one. It is the antichrist. You know, it’s really sad that man’s traditions have everyone looking for the devil, but Satan wanted to sit in Christ’s seat. He wanted to be in Christ’s position, and he wants men to worship him. He’s not going to come here with a pitchfork and horns. He’s going to come here to convince you that he is Christ returned.”
Molony rubbed his chin. “Why trials? Doesn’t God know everything?”
“The trials aren’t for God. They are for us. People are going to think God has returned and they will want to help their family get ‘saved’. On a global scale, that kind of pressure is beyond most people’s individual will. This is why it is written family members will betray each other.”
Molony moved his hand from his chin. “Okay. That’s a good one, but doesn’t is say they betray each other to death?”
Pastor Flynn leaned forward. “Death is one of Satan’s names. The trials allow him to tell a story that muddies the timeline, and makes people think a white thrown judgment is happening. Unfortunately the real judgment doesn’t happen until after the Lord’s Day, so we’ll have to see how he tries to get out of that one.”
Molony put his hand back to his chin. “Hmmmm.”
Pastor Flynn slid his hand across the desk toward Molony. “It’s no big deal. The trials provide a snapshot of where each individual stands regarding these issues. It is also God’s tool when reconciling with His children, because it’s not God who needs the evidence, it’s us that have to accept the evidence against us. Everyone is going to take a stand one way or the other. The trials capture you and your position at the time when it counts most.”
“I see. You always give me something to think about.”
Pastor Flynn smiled.
“Pastor?” Molony slid his hand forward on the table. “We would like to do a two-part series on the American perspective. Would you be interested in participating?”
“What do you mean?”
Molony put his hand on the edge of the table and leaned in. “We’re thinking one show, the full hour, dedicated to mainstream Christian faiths, followed by another show for the other major American beliefs.”
“Who will be here?”
Molony leaned back and opened his hands to present the two of them. “Just us. Right here. Two shows just like this. Our fireside chats, if you will.”
“It’s possible.” Pastor Flynn pondered. “But if this is for truth and not for profit, then there can be no commercials.”
“Done.” Molony pointed to his staff off-camera.
Pastor Flynn pointed to the sky. “And we get to carry the signal on our live feed. We cover the globe, and we are in more places than you are. If this is about truth, I want my congregation to have access to the information through us.”
“Done.” Molony covered his earpiece. “I know. I know!” He looked at Pastor Flynn. “I can’t grant the feed yet. Commercials I can pay for, but the feed, I hate to say it, is above my pay grade.”
“I understand. If you can work out the feed, then I think we can do something.”
Molony reached out to shake Pastor Flynn’s hand “Thank you very much for coming tonight.”
“Thanks for having me.” He replied. “I’ll leave you with something your fans may not know? Your name, Molony, means ‘a descendent, or a servant of the Church’. You may be on to something here. Keep up the good work.”

Seth looked at Megumi with his eyes open wide. “Do you know what this means?”
“What?”
“They are not done. Do you still think I’m crazy about these two?“ Seth looked at Megumi. “This has to be it. I bet these guys are for real. You need to call your sister and tell her she should get away from the city for a few days. Tell her why.”
“I don’t know why?”
“Hey, if these guys are ‘witnessing’ like it’s written, we are going to see the fallen angels any day now. We need to get out while we can.”
Megumi shook her head. “I can’t do it.”
Seth grabbed her by the shoulders. “Yes you can! Remember when you were learning to drive? We were parked on the steepest hill in North Beach. The back tire was spinning. I needed you to push or drive. You didn’t want to, but…”
Megumi laughed. “You said to shut up, get in the car, and drive!”
“And you did. You can do it again. You have heard me talk about this enough that you should have no problem telling her the basic story.”
“I don’t know the whole story!”
“You know more than you think. Just tell her to get away for a week. Look, I know they are airing these specials all over Japan on NHK, so they will be able to put things together. Tell her to take a long weekend with her family. Try to get up to Aomori. The bullet train can have them there in four hours. Even Morioka would be fine. If nothing happens next week they can go home.”
Megumi put her hands on her side. “They won’t just pick up and go because I call them.”
“They will if…” Seth grabbed a pen and notepad. “Here. Tell your sister to call Morio. He reads the Bible. With his church background, I’m sure he’s watching Pastor Flynn and Molony real closely. Point him to Mark thirteen, Matthew twenty-four, and Luke twenty-one. Tell him this is what is starting. Have him get an interpreter and start digging through my website as fast as they can. I’m sure the government or these fallen angels will turn the internet off soon. When Morio sees these building blocks come together I’m confident he’ll snap into action.”
“I know they are worried, but to pack up and take a trip?”
“Megumi, I believe he will do the right thing. Your family will be just fine. You have to trust God completely. He didn’t leave Japan out of His story. Just make the call, and then start packing.”
“When are we going?”
“I’ll get some things ready tomorrow. I want to get out of town before the things go crazy.
