Judas Iscariot
Did he kill himself?
Popular Perspective
It is written in Matthew that he did. Luke confirmed it was bad. Every church will serve you their flavor of this story, but they all end the same.
Matthew 27: 5
And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
There we have it. I believe all scripture is true, but it is also true we have a translation. So it might be better said all scripture is provable.
Before we draw any conclusions I challenge you to forget what you learned about Judas, and try to be a fair jurist. In the end you might be surprised.
Five
Five is the number of Grace. David took five smooth stones from the bed. We are in the 5th seal which is a time of awakening.
Here's five points to consider on Judas behalf:
Separate from Traditions
The judgment isn't until the end of the Millennium. If Judas' is found guilty beyond repentance we'll cross that bridge. Until then it's between him and God, not us. For all you know he may be the poster child to test our immediate judgment... don't fall for it.
There's deeper context that isn't apparent, but if you explore those points with an open heart it will become clear.
